Our commitment to physical therapy for pelvic health starts with a specialized group of Physical Therapists with training specifically for the treatment and education of pelvic health issues. As a patient, you will receive the best one-on-one care in a private setting to help get you back to enjoying the activities that you love. Phoenix Physical Therapists are experienced and caring clinicians you can trust.
We start with a physical therapy pelvic health evaluation, which includes discussing the history of the problem(s). experiences with pain, previous treatment, and functional limitations. We then assess muscle strength, posture, and movement patterns. After this information is collected, our therapists will develop a treatment plan and goals specifically to address your needs.

Our Pelvic Health Therapy specializes in the following treatment options:
Urinary Incontinence – Treatments for both stress and urge incontinence, including strengthening exercise for weakened pelvic floor muscles, education on fluid, diet, lifestyle modifications, and biofeedback training.
Chronic Pelvic Pain – Treatments include muscle re-education/strengthening/relaxation exercises. Functional activity of daily living alternatives, postural education, soft tissue massage, spinal/pelvic alignment corrections, and biofeedback training.
Sacral Dysfunction – Treatments include manual techniques/mobilization/muscle energy techniques, flexibility for the lower back/lower extremity muscles, strengthening of the core/hip stabilizers and pelvic floor, and patient education.
Pregnancy and Postpartum – Many changes occur to the body during pregnancy, and some of them result in pain and discomfort, such as diastasis recti, prolapse, carpel tunnel syndrome, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, low-back pain and “sciatica” pubic symphysis dysfunction, and coccyx (tailbone) injury which our Therapists are specialized in treating.
Post Surgeries Involving the Bladder, Prostate, and Hysterectomy – The Therapists at Phoenix Physical Therapy are experts at evaluating and treating surgical-related conditions.
Fecal Incontinence or Constipation – Treatments include strengthening exercises for weak pelvic floor muscles, biofeedback training, education on dietary modifications, and manual therapy.
Take care of your body at all stages of your life. Our women’s health physical therapy evaluates, treats and prevents musculoskeletal disorders including pelvic floor therapy. We provide care to young female athletes, women of childbearing age, and menopausal and elderly women. While the majority of patients are women, our specialized physical therapists provide the evaluation and treatment of male patients with pelvic floor disorders including pain and incontinence.
The following are health conditions Phoenix physical therapists commonly treat:
- Urinary incontinence
- Pelvic pain
- Pregnancy pain and weakness
- Postpartum physical therapy

I lived in horrible pain from a frozen shoulder for a few months before being referred to physical therapy in hopes of avoiding surgery. I can’t thank a Mark and Danny enough for their patience, kindness, compassion, encouragement and expertise. Without them, I would NEVER have been successful persevering through over six months of therapy (especially in the early days when I cried in about one of every two or three sessions). The fact that they cared so much about me as a patient and as a person made me want to work harder and never give up.
Because of therapy, with Mark and Danny, I have my life back. I don’t live in pain. I can do daily activities, exercise, and play sports. I can’t thank them enough for the difference they have made in my life.
I have heard it said that a great physical therapist is hard to find, difficult to part with, and impossible to forget. Fortunately, for me, they weren’t hard to find, but they sure are difficult to part with, and I’ll never forget them! I am forever grateful for physical therapy with Mark and Danny at Phoenix!”
