Michael Brew, PT, DPT, AT
Clinic Director, Physical Therapist
Michael’s philosophy when working with his patients is to have fun. He believes if a patient is working hard and having fun at the same time, they tend to progress faster. Michael says, “I love seeing patients return to the activities they love, whether it is playing hockey again, playing with their kids, getting back to work, or returning to their roles in their family.”
As an Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist, Michael has seen and treated his fair share of sports-related injuries. He specializes in spinal cord injuries and working with amputees. Michael is a certified brain injury specialist and has taken many continuing education courses on manual therapy. He is also trained to administer functional capacity evaluations, vestibular rehabilitation and functional dry needling. During his time at Advanced PT, Michael has become a trusted Therapist to dancers and gymnasts as well.
Michael grew up in north central Minnesota and graduated high school in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He, currently, resides in Grand Blanc, Michigan with his beautiful wife and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, skiing, hiking, and cycling. He is the Physical Therapist for the Flint City Bucks and Flint AFC soccer teams.
