Marla Wilkerson , PT, MPT, CHT
Physical Therapist
Marla has spent her career working in the outpatient setting since 2002. Her goal was to become a highly skilled manual physical therapist with an emphasis on sports medicine. A few years into her career, Marla experienced a neck injury that required surgery. This resulted in her exploring other specialties and discovered her passion for hand therapy. She began focusing her attention on patients with hand and elbow impairments, which lead her to earn her specialization in the upper extremity as a Certified Hand Therapist in 2011.
Being a manual-focused sports physical therapist turned hand therapist, she brings a unique set of expertise and skills to her patients. Marla is enthusiastic and eager to help patients by providing individualized care with her innovative approach to hand therapy and splint/orthosis fabrication while remaining dedicated to staying current on all of the latest research.
