The McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® is a reliable assessment process intended for all musculoskeletal problems, including pain in the back, neck and extremities (i.e., shoulder, knee, ankle etc.), as well as issues associated with sciatica, sacroiliac joint pain, arthritis, degenerative disc disease, muscle spasms and intermittent numbness in hands or feet.
Our Certified McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® Clinicians will help you find relief through McKenzie exercises. This McKenzie physical therapy treatment method involves active patient involvement and education and is comprised of four primary steps: assessment, classification, treatment, and prevention.
If you qualify, the McKenzie technique takes advantage of your own movements and forces to eliminate your pain and restore function to your body. A series of individualized McKenzie extension exercises based on your responses to your initial assessment is prescribed and are dependent on the Directional Preference that will relieve your pain. For example extension or flexion, right or left lateral movements and more. For those suffering from back pain problems, McKenzie back exercises can be effective.
The treatment must match your assessment finds or else results will see less success. Our certified McKenzie clinicians have a valid indicator to know immediately if the treatment will work for each patient.

I have been employed by Phoenix for over 20 years as a Clinic Director. This career path has given me opportunities I would not have seen with any other employer, including advancement, continuing education and program development. In addition, Phoenix provides an efficient framework for operations with support for billing and compliance. As a result, I can operate my clinic as if it were my own with the stability and compliance that would be challenging as a sole proprietor.
