Shari Jackson, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Shari has worked as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (Northern Virginia Community College) since 2019 in various settings including outpatient, acute care, and home health. She completed her undergraduate at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013 (B.S. in Psychology) and currently attending Shenandoah University to complete her Masters in Public Health. Shari has a certification in kinesiotaping, following the Rock Tape techniques and a certification in LSVT-BIG for Parkinsons and balance. Her treatment philosophy is very much about treating the whole person congruent with their individual diagnosis/es. She is a big believer that touch is healing and appreciates Tenleytown’s manual heavy approach. She is passionate about contributing to the community, helping to co-lead a physical therapist-run program in Ward 7/8 that addresses community access/resourcing and health literacy. When she is not working, she spends her time with family and friends, being a dog-mom, and being a paint instructor.
