Rebecca F. Sheaffer, PT, DPT

Clinic Director / Physical Therapist

“I believe the best way to provide quality care is through the use of the most up to date techniques, provided with a caring touch, in a professional environment.

Physical therapy is based in medical science, though the provision of care is truly an art. I have continued to develop as a scientist through taking various continuing education courses, membership in the American Physical Therapy Association, obtaining my board certified orthopedic specialization and by seeking my doctorate. I practice physical therapy full time and also teach as a lab instructor for continuing education courses at a local university.

Although therapy is scientifically based, the practicing clinician is an artist in his or her provision of services. The art of physical therapy is a skill that is honed through practice, over time and by listening to our patients. My hope is to combine art and science so that I can provide the best care to my patients with the ultimate goal of returning them to their maximum functional level…in essence I want to give my patients as much of their lives back as I can, as quickly as possible.”

Becky joined the Phoenix Physical Therapy and Health Services, Inc. team in November 2004 and was instrumental in the development of her office, opened in the Trooper area, June 2005. Currently Becky serves as Facility Director and Physical Therapist specializing in adult and pediatric orthopedics as she holds an advanced certification in Orthopedics from the American Physical Therapy Association. Outside of the office, Becky proudly displays her black belt in Tae Kwon Do and her other interests include gymnastics instructing, skiing, hiking and traveling.
