Payton McGowan, MS, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Payton comes from rural Bucks County, Pennsylvania and enjoys many outdoor activities including running, hiking, horse riding, and kayaking. Her interest in occupational therapy began when she had the opportunity to observe hippotherapy, or the use of horses in physical and occupational therapy. Her clinical experience includes upper-extremity rehabilitation, fabrication of custom orthoses, concussion rehabilitation, and community-based mental health practice. Payton brings a holistic approach to her patient care. She considers each individual’s client factors, performance skills, and personal contexts when developing treatment programs, and helps her patients return to the occupations they need to do, want to do, and are expected to do. She values evidence-based practice and stays up to date on new research in the fields of occupational therapy and upper extremity rehabilitation.
