Karle Mauersberg , PT, DPT, OCS

Karle joined the Phoenix Physical Therapy Team as a Physical Therapist in August 2022. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Liberty University before continuing her studies in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Old Dominion University. In 2025, Karle achieved her Board Certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), reflecting her advanced training and expertise in treating complex orthopedic conditions and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Since becoming a physical therapist, Karle has found PT to be the perfect blend of healthcare, fitness, and her love for the analysis of human movement that she first became familiar with in her years as a competitive roller figure skater. Karle’s philosophy as a clinician is to pair manual therapy techniques with exercises that specifically cater to each individual’s unique goals for optimal return to function. Her goal as a physical therapist is always to teach each person the tools needed to continue their wellness journey independently so they can live their life to the fullest.

In her free time she enjoys hiking in the Blue Ridge mountains, crocheting, walking at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, and going on trips with her husband.
