Karen Maize, PTA

As a skilled manual therapist, Karen has focused her treatment sessions on soft tissue dysfunction with movement.  This enables the patient to quickly assess changes before and after treatment.  Her areas of interest include manual therapy, Parkinson’s, outpatient orthopedics and lower quarter biomechanics.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College.  From there, Karen earned her associate’s degree as a physical therapist assistant from Anne Arundel Community College.  She now is an adjunct faculty member at Anne Arundel Community College and teaches Functional Anatomy and other various program requirements.  Karen is certified clinician in the LSVT BIG Program.  She works closely with the local Parkinson’s support group.  In her free time Karen is a big Raven’s and Orioles fan.  She also enjoys fly fishing and other outdoor activities.
