Hunter D. Fariss, PT, DPT

Hunter joined Phoenix Physical Therapy in June of 2023. Prior to becoming a physical therapist and joining Phoenix, Hunter worked for several years managing a small clinical practice and personal training studio with a local chiropractor. In his free time, Hunter works as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor with a local Richmond based cross training program, where he enjoys directing a run training program for distance runners.

Hunter is committed to continued professional growth and chose to pursue his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification by accepting a position as a resident for the 2023-2024 residency program through Virginia Orthopedic Manual Therapy Institute.

Hunter enjoys working with various treatment populations, working full time in outpatient physical therapy, and occasionally in the acute care hospital setting with post-operative, emergency room, and even critical care patients. His primary focus is orthopedics, though he has a special interest in sports and working with an athletic patient population. As a competitive distance runner and fitness instructor himself, Hunter is passionate about helping people safely get back to what they love to do. He enjoys using targeted therapies to promote optimal recovery and performance for all patients.
