Blaire Burkholder , PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Blaire is a 2019 graduate of Saint Francis University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree. After graduating, she became a part of the Phoenix Physical Therapy team in August 2019. She enjoys working in the outpatient setting helping patients of all ages recover and maximize their functional potential to return to the activities that they love! Blaire resides in the Path Valley, PA area with her husband, Dustin and their dogs. When she is not working, she enjoys helping on their farm, hunting, trying new recipes, antique shopping and spending time anywhere with Dustin and their family and friends! Blaire’s professional philosophy is to always have an open mind to learning and to never be afraid to try something new. There are many different combinations of methods and techniques to achieve a common goal, and it is important to find the path that is the best fit for each patient. She feels this is true for both the patient and the therapist in this setting. Blaire’s patient care philosophy includes the intention to keep an open and honest relationship with patients, giving them a safe space to voice their concerns and questions. Patients coming to physical therapy are often in various levels of pain or distress, so it is important to make them feel comfortable and build a trustworthy relationship to work together to return them to their desired level of functioning. It is also a goal of hers to make the patient an active participant in their physical therapy treatment. This allows them to give input, ask questions, and contribute to the decision-making process to better understand the purpose of specific treatments and perform to their highest capabilities.
