Blaire Lauthers, DPT

Physical Therapist

Blaire is a 2019 graduate of Saint Francis University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. She has clinical experience in adult outpatient and acute care, as well as pediatric PT in outpatient, school-based, and early intervention care. After graduating, she became a part of the Phoenix Physical Therapy team in August of 2019. She currently works primarily in the outpatient clinic where she enjoys helping patients of all ages recover and maximize their functional potential to return to the activities that they love! She also works in our school-based pediatric therapy program with kids in grades K-12 in the Waynesboro School District. She loves making PT fun while helping students gain independence within their school environments!

Blaire resides in the Path Valley, PA area, with her boyfriend, Dustin, and their black lab, Zeke. When she is not working, she enjoys helping on the farm (especially with the calves), hunting, trying new recipes, antique shopping, and spending time anywhere with Dustin, Zeke, and their families and friends!

My professional philosophy is to always have an open mind to learning, and to never be afraid to try something new.  There are many different combinations of methods and techniques to achieve a common goal, and it is important to find the path that is the best fit for you. I think this is true for both the patient and the physical therapist in our setting.

My patient care philosophy includes the intention to keep an open and honest relationship with patients, giving them a safe space to voice their concerns and questions. Patients coming to physical therapy are often in various levels of pain or distress, so it is important to make them feel comfortable and build a trustworthy relationship to work together to return them to their desired level of functioning. It is also a goal of mine to make the patient an active participant in their physical therapy treatment. This allows them to give input, ask questions, and contribute to the decision-making process to better understand the purpose of specific treatments and perform to their highest capabilities.
