Barry Wrench, PT, DPT

Clinic Director, Therapeutic Pain Specialist

“My treatment philosophy is simple:  Provide the highest quality, most cost-effective and compassionate care to every person who walks through my door.  This philosophy is coupled with patient education, emphasis on lifelong wellness and open lines of communication between myself, patients and physicians.”

Barry received his BS, MSPT and DPT from Misericordia University and has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics for the past 22 years. His patient base includes a significant portion of lumbar and cervical spine, ankle, knee and shoulder post-surgical patients. Barry’s interests lie in differential diagnosis and performing targeted and efficient manual therapy and exercise intervention to improve outcomes and hasten patient recovery, as well as educating patients about pain and using conservative ways in which to treat pain. His treatment style centers on an “at-home” fun and engaging clinical atmosphere where patient education and active listening play an integral part in the development of each patient’s treatment plan. Barry has completed all courses in the Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminar series, among a wide array of other continuing education topics. In 2018 Barry completed his certification as a Therapeutic Pain Specialist through the International Spine and Pain Institute and has since been using this knowledge to assist patients in chronic pain on a road to improved function and happiness. He is currently a Clinical Director for Phoenix Physical Therapy in the Jersey Shore office and lives just outside Jersey Shore with his wife Beth and their three teenage children. Barry’s personal interests include grilling, smoking BBQ, cheese, and cooking in general. He is a guitarist for the Crossroads Church praise and worship band. He is also an outdoor enthusiast and can be found in the woods or at the local pond or stream fishing with his sons.
