Joe Walsh, PT, DPT
Clinic Director / Physical Therapist
I believe that taking the time to fully educate patient’s as to why they are experiencing the symptoms that brought them to PT in the first place goes a long way in not only building trust between myself and the patient, but also in having the patient fully commit to maximizing their functional capabilities in as short of time as possible. Having been a patient as a teenager multiple times myself, it was my PT who helped me recognize my fascination with anatomy and pathophysiology, ultimately driving me to become a physical therapist. I wish to pass on the knowledge I have in these areas to anybody who is willing to learn.
After graduating from PT school, Joe worked for 5 years in an outpatient clinic in his home state of New Jersey prior to moving to North Carolina. Joe joined Phoenix Physical Therapy in 2019, working in both North and South Carolina. In 2020, he settled into his current role as the clinic director in the Harrisburg, NC clinic. Joe enjoys working with all different types of injuries and post-operative conditions with patients of all age ranges, but admits that because he spent 7 months in PT as a 17 year old recovering from a knee surgery, he will always have a soft spot for the teenage athlete.
